It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick Murray Tobler on March 26, 2024, in Penticton, BC, after a lengthy illness with COPD.
Pat was born on a sunny day in Calgary, AB, on April 16, 1954. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverley, of 34 years; children, Jeff and Candice of Calgary AB; granddaughters, Alexandra and Kaitlyn of Calgary, AB; grandson, Kurtis of Invermere, BC; snuggle and grump buddy Casey; sister-in-law, Stacey; and many nieces and nephews.
Pat will be remembered for his ability to make anyone smile by passing on one of his treasured jokes and always had a story behind it to fit the occasion. He loved going for walks with Bev and Casey along the beach at Skaha Lake Park, spending time with the grandkids, and being Bev’s right-hand man sitting in the passenger seat of the car.
During Pat’s earlier years, he loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle anywhere and everywhere. He was an avid pool player in Calgary and went to tournaments in Las Vegas. On a Friday or Saturday night, if you were lucky, you could see Pat and Bev two-stepping across the floor in Bronco Billy’s country bar in Calgary.
We love you Pat and you will be forever in our hearts and our thoughts.
“Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."
"Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow." "If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again."
In accordance with Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
We welcome you to share memories of Pat and condolences with the family on the Tribute Wall.
